Weston Estate Inglewood Concert reviews
Inspired, deserved a better venue
The orchestral re-arrangements were fantastic, a treat to witness and listen to a musical genius! It was fabulous to experience some of Weston Estate's classic tunes rearranged for orchestra, showcasing his eclectic and broad musical tastes. This was not like Metallica's unsuccessful attempt over a decade ago to merge two genres, but a successful fusion. The sound was slightly off, and the ambient noise and Summerfest music were distracting and annoying at times, especially the thumping bass. I would love to see this show again in a venue like Orchestra Hall in Chicago, where premium acoustics and no microphones would be needed. I would give it 5 stars, but the sound issues detracted from the overall experience.
